Position Overview

Role Summary: The Senior Project Manager will oversee large-scale, intricate, and high-stakes projects within the Information and Information Technology (I&IT) sector. This role is pivotal in ensuring that project outcomes align with client business objectives while adhering to established timelines, scopes, and budgets, with an emphasis on cost efficiency and compliance with project management standards.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management: Lead the management of significant projects, ensuring deliverables meet client expectations. This includes developing and maintaining comprehensive project schedules and integrated plans, monitoring project costs, and reporting on progress to ensure financial targets are achieved.

Team Leadership: Direct and mentor project teams, ensuring clarity in roles and responsibilities. This involves sourcing and onboarding team members across various disciplines, resolving conflicts, and promoting a collaborative environment to meet project objectives.

Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks and issues, developing strategies to mitigate them. Communicate effectively with senior executives regarding project status, issues, and recommended solutions.

Required Skills

Project Management Expertise: Extensive knowledge of project management methodologies and frameworks, including the Project Management Institute's standards. Proven experience in managing project lifecycles from initiation to closure.

Communication and Leadership: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and engage stakeholders at all levels. Experience in providing strategic advice to senior management.

Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Agile methodologies, data analytics, and IT service management principles. Ability to document and plan knowledge transfer processes effectively.

Additional Qualifications

Desirable Experience: Previous experience within government I&IT organizations, particularly in developing vendor performance frameworks and utilizing reporting tools such as PowerBI.

Work Environment: This position requires a hybrid work model, with a combination of onsite and remote work.
