Job Overview:

Under the supervision of the Director of Administrative Services and Secretary General, the Coordinator of Material Resources is responsible for overseeing all management functions related to the upkeep and maintenance of facilities.

Key Responsibilities at the College Level:

  • Acts as a representative of the department in dealings with external institutions or organizations.

Key Responsibilities at the Administrative Services Level:

  • Contributes to the formulation of regulations, policies, programs, strategic plans, budgets, and workforce planning.

Responsibilities for Assigned Sectors:

  • Enforces regulations, policies, and procedures; assesses human, financial, and material resource requirements; provides recommendations to the immediate superior; supervises and informs staff; fosters a positive work environment; develops and refines administrative coordination systems with other departments; ensures ongoing improvement and quality; prepares reports; and offers guidance and support to other executives in their areas of expertise.

General Coordination Duties:

  • Specialized maintenance of facilities, systems, and equipment; project oversight; planning and execution of refurbishment and maintenance projects; adherence to contractual obligations; risk management in construction; energy management; maintenance or repair of mechanical and electrical systems; environmental sustainability in construction and maintenance; implementation of maintenance or project management software; assessment of feasibility and costs for various maintenance tasks and projects.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in a relevant discipline; a minimum of five years of experience in building maintenance, including three years in project and personnel management; comprehensive knowledge of building codes; expertise in HVAC energy management; proficiency in AutoCAD and office software; fluency in French.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in management within the public sector, particularly in institutional settings.

Compensation:

As per the regulations for college executive positions.
