Overview
The Logistics Associate plays a crucial role in the supply chain by ensuring the accurate and timely assembly of products for customer orders. This position involves loading products onto transport vehicles, managing inventory received from suppliers, and handling customer returns effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently unloads building materials from delivery vehicles and organizes them within the warehouse.
- Picks and assembles customer orders with precision and care.
- Processes receiving documents and packing slips promptly.
- Assists customers by loading their orders onto delivery vehicles.
- Conducts regular inventory counts to maintain stock accuracy.
- Handles and restocks returned inventory items.
- Maintains a tidy and organized warehouse environment.
- Follows all safety protocols and regulations.
- Upholds commitments to customer service excellence.
Qualifications
Skills and Experience
- Certification in operating counterbalance forklifts is mandatory; training may be provided.
- Must possess steel-toed boots.
- At least one year of experience in a warehouse setting, with familiarity in order picking processes.
- Ability to lift weights up to 50 pounds (23 kilograms) on occasion.
- Physical capability to bend, lift, and reach throughout the work shift.
- Experience in receiving goods is considered an asset.
