Job Summary:

As a Tractor Trailer Delivery Driver at 09 Irving Oil Limited, you will play a critical role in safely and efficiently delivering petroleum products to commercial customers, retail sites, and bulk plants while adhering to all Department of Transportation regulations and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive a Tractor Trailer delivery truck while adhering to all DOT regulations and procedures.
  • Deliver Irving Oil Products to various locations within the required geographical areas.
  • Collaborate with Dispatch team to improve efficiency of routes by providing recommendations to the delivery schedule, customers that should be clustered together, or identify delivery locations that present challenges to delivery.
  • Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure truck is performing to required standards. Maintain familiarity with different trucks/trailers in order to accurately inspect trucks, trailers, tires, pins, lights, etc.
  • Safely load and unload product from storage facilities while adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Report all hazards or unsafe situations that cannot be corrected on their own to manager.
  • Complete daily shift report and all required paperwork with accurate information.
  • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle – inside & outside.

Requirements:

  • Valid commercial truck driver's license with a clean Driver's Abstract.
  • Class 1 designation with air brakes, WHMIS & Dangerous Goods Certification.
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • Minimum 2 years Commercial Transportation (Class 1/A) experience.
