We are seeking a talented individual based in Canada for a rewarding, long-term contract position with Ross, a pioneering virtual pricing consultancy dedicated to Software/SaaS enterprises. Our mission is to assist B2B technology firms in optimizing their pricing strategies to effectively reach their target markets. Although this role is remote, our team collaborates closely in a flexible and professional setting, engaging with founders, CEOs, and executives of rapidly expanding software companies.

Position Overview

The Lead Pricing Strategy Analyst will play a vital role within our pricing engagement team, bringing exceptional skills in structuring, analyzing, and visualizing opportunity, product usage, qualitative survey, and customer account billing data. This analysis will uncover opportunities for pricing and packaging enhancements as well as valuable business insights. The Analyst will collaborate closely with our visionary CEO to translate findings and inquiries into robust quantitative and qualitative analyses, effectively communicating insights and recommendations to our clients. This role will also involve conducting competitive research and managing multiple client programs simultaneously. This position offers flexible scheduling and competitive compensation based on experience and expertise.

Location

This is a remote position available to candidates located anywhere in Canada who are incorporated or can incorporate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with C-level executives in the Software/SaaS sector and their stakeholders to establish foundational metrics and design tailored growth strategies. Comfort in conducting client-facing video and phone discussions is essential.
  • Utilize Python to organize and prepare data sets for in-depth analysis.
  • Employ templates to construct analytical models that identify trends, discrepancies, and underlying causes (e.g., evaluating win/loss rates in relation to product enhancements).
  • Develop dashboards and summary visualizations to facilitate decision-making for operational and leadership teams.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a knack for quickly building relationships; effective communication is key, and enjoyment in engaging with external clients is essential.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in roles such as software pricing analyst, consulting analyst, product manager, or similar positions.
  • A degree (BA/MS) or equivalent coursework in a quantitative or qualitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Business/Finance, Marketing, etc.).
  • Proficiency in building statistical and analytical models using Python.
  • Experience in data visualization techniques.
  • Preferred background in product management.
  • Familiarity with B2B SaaS business models is strongly preferred.
  • Project management experience is required.
  • Experience in Management Consulting, Venture Capital, or Private Equity is a plus.
