Locum Family Physician Opportunity

We are seeking a locum family physician to join our interdisciplinary team at the North End Community Health Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
As a locum physician, you will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative care model with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including family doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, social workers, and more.
The North End Community Health Centre provides equitable care and access to services and programs, and we are committed to addressing and advocating for the social determinants of health.
Responsibilities include examining patients, taking their histories, ordering diagnostic tests, and advising patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention.
You will also have the opportunity to work with a supportive team and contribute to the development and evolution of our programs and services.
Responsibilities- Examine patients and take their histories
- Order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures
- Advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention
- Consultation and referral to other medical practitioners
- Act as a patient's advocate
- Prescribe and administer medications and treatments
- Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements
Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
Member of the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
