Bioinformatics Analyst, Cancer Research Unit

Primary Purpose:
The primary purpose of this position is to provide bioinformatics expertise, data analysis, and support for health science researchers, particularly in the area of Cancer Research. This includes assistance with analysis of researcher-generated data, such as gene expression, genomics, and proteomics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide bioinformatics support for health science researchers, including data analysis, visualization, and interpretation.
- Develop and implement computational methods for data analysis and interpretation.
- Collaborate with researchers to design and implement experiments and studies.
- Develop and maintain databases and software tools for data management and analysis.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest bioinformatics tools and techniques.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or Java.
- Experience with bioinformatics tools and databases, such as BLAST, GenBank, or UCSC Genome Browser.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
