Job Summary

Assemble aircraft landing gear components, shock struts, actuators, and flight controls to supplied drawings and process instructions. Identify proper and improper fits, alignments, and condition of components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints and hydraulic schemes to understand mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components.
  • Apply problem-solving skills and lean manufacturing principles to optimize assembly processes.
  • Identify non-conformances during landing gear assembly.
  • Use hand and machine tools to assemble components.
  • Work with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Meet aircraft maintenance engineer license requirements or have five years of related experience.
Requirements
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Canadian Controlled Goods Regulations (CGR) and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) compliance.
  • Canadian government security clearances and applicable contractual obligations.
