Casa Dolce Casa is seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our health and wellness team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our residents.
Responsibilities:- Oversee the health and wellness of all residents, ensuring their needs are met and their rights are respected.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans to meet the holistic needs of residents.
- Communicate resident care needs and changes in resident status to the Head Nurse and key contacts.
- Provide input into the need for resident transfers and ensure accurate and timely completion of responsibilities.
- Direct the health and wellness staff, ensuring their tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Administer medication and respond to emergency situations.
- Complete pertinent documentation and meet assigned deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team, including staff, residents, family, and physicians.
- Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, including the Retirement Homes Act, 2010, and its regulations.
- Meet the Standards of the College of Nurses of Ontario at all times.
- Current certificate of competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario, with medication administration qualifications.
- Nursing experience in a similar setting.
- Valid First Aid and CPR certificates (preferable or must obtain within the month of hire).
- Ability to communicate effectively with seniors, their families, and colleagues in a friendly and professional manner.
- Effective time management skills to work under specified time constraints and in accordance with job routines.
- Ability to focus on multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
- Sound judgment and tact in handling confidential matters.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs and Point Click Care program (asset).
