About the Role

Senior Benefits & Pension Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Benefits & Pension Specialist to join our Compensation & Benefits team at Siemens Energy Canada Limited. This is a fixed-term temporary position, lasting 15 months, starting in July 2024.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and delivering benefits and pension programs for Siemens Energy North America. You will work closely with our 3rd party administrators and service providers to ensure the successful administration of our benefits and pension programs, identifying opportunities for continuous process improvement. You will also extract reports and conduct analyses in support of benefits & pension plan administration.

You will support and lead assigned activities associated with quarterly and annual compliance requirements, prepare materials for board meetings and leadership team updates, and craft effective communications for HR, managers, and employees regarding benefit programs, leveraging various communication channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer Canada benefits & pensions
  • Ensure compliance with Canada laws and regulations that impact HR, Compensation, & Benefits
  • Develop and maintain effective communication channels for HR, managers, and employees
  • Support the HR team with queries and escalations
  • Provide subject matter expertise for assigned programs

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or comparable work experience in lieu of degree
  • 3-5 years experience in benefits & pension administration
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Fluent English proficiency required; Advanced proficiency of Canadian French is a plus

What You'll Bring

You will be a subject matter expert for your assigned programs, supporting the HR team with queries and escalations. You will also be responsible for crafting effective communications for HR, managers, and employees regarding benefit programs.
