Job Title: Plasterer

C Town Exterior Ltd. is seeking a skilled Plasterer to join our team. As a Plasterer, you will be responsible for applying, leveling, and smoothing coats of plaster to create a smooth and even surface.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster to walls and ceilings
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for plastering
  • Cure freshly plastered surfaces to ensure a strong bond
  • Finish corners and angles, and create decorative designs in the finish coat, if required
  • Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency
  • Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices, and trim
  • Spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings
  • Trowel or spray coats of stucco over exteriors of buildings to form weatherproof surfaces
Work Environment:

As a Plasterer, you will work in a variety of settings, including commercial, industrial, and residential locations. You will be exposed to dust, heat, and noise, and will be required to work at heights.

Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Experience: Will train on the job
  • Physical abilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, standing for extended periods, and working under pressure
  • Personal qualities: Client focus, dependability, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, judgement, reliability, and teamwork
Working Conditions:

As a Plasterer, you will work a standard 35-40 hour week, with overtime required at times. You will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks.

Language:

The primary language of work is English.

Weight Handling:

You will be required to lift and handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
