Job Summary

Dumas, a leading full-service underground mining contractor, is seeking a highly skilled Underground Electrician to join our team. As an Underground Electrician, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in our underground mining operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components.
  • Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial, electrical, and electronic control systems and other related devices.
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine the layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.

Requirements

  • Ontario Basic Underground Hard Rock Mining Modules
  • Ontario Hardrock Mining Supervisory Common Core or equivalent experience
  • Electrical Red Seal Journeyman certification
  • 5 years u/g electrical experience
  • Outstanding safety record
