Modern Niagara is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Project Lead to join our team in Vaughan, ON. As a key member of our VDC team, you will be responsible for the preparation of construction coordination, interference plans, and the development of engineering consultant designs into fabricable/installable/coordinated virtual models.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of designers to ensure all work is vetted, optimized, and meets project strategies.
- Develop a process to produce cost-effective, optimized coordinated models and distribute them to the project team.
- Coordinate with foremen, project managers, construction managers, general contractors, consultants, and other trades.
- Ensure designs conform to applicable standards and produce detailed fabrication drawings for electrical systems.
- Work closely with the foreman and project managers to produce coordination drawings and VDC models.
- Post-secondary degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Drafting, or relevant technical diploma, journeyman status, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 5 years of extensive, practical, and successful experience in the Electrical trades and construction industries.
- Proficient in Navisworks, Revit with Fabrication Parts, and AutoCAD.
- Able to prove ability in resolving/managing multidiscipline coordination.
- Experience in field installation/trade/code adherence will be highly valued.
- Strong computer skills with hands-on working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and digital scheduling software.
- Knowledge of construction costs/budgets/schedule and construction process.
