Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at Lactalis Canada. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for planning, designing, and implementing various projects within the company.
Key Responsibilities- Define project scope, targets, and deliverables in collaboration with management and stakeholders.
- Proactively manage changes within the project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
- Design and prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates; research project design requirements, perform complex calculations, and prepare estimates of time and material costs.
- Ensure all work performed by or on behalf of the company complies with company project management procedures and with all governing practices, codes, and regulations.
- Promote excellence in all activities, including the functional groups, to support safe operation, optimal quality, improved reliability, and productivity, waste reduction, and cost improvement.
- Maintain awareness of new technologies as they relate to efficiency improvements, cost reductions, and workplace safety and product quality enhancements.
- Prepare and evaluate contracts and agreements.
- Conduct specialized studies involving the selection and use of materials and equipment.
- Manage external human resources, such as vendors and contractors.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (preferably Mechanical Engineering).
- Three years of experience.
- Understanding of processes such as CIP systems, pasteurization systems, sterilizers, and packaging equipment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Financial and budgetary skills.
- Understanding of instrumentation, PLC, and Scada controls.
- Good communication, listening, and presentation skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing cultures and environments.
- Strong team facilitation and leadership skills with a commitment to team development.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong decision-making skills to identify and solve problems in a timely and effective manner.
- Proficient with standard office computer technology, such as Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), as well as business systems, such as SAP.
