The Row-Crop Innovation Specialist will serve as the primary technical resource for Corteva products and broader industry solutions, contributing to our commitment to deliver top-tier support for clients in the designated area. Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Agronomic Support: Deliver comprehensive technical advice on Corteva's Row-Crop product offerings, focusing on application techniques, effectiveness, and safety measures. Customize agronomic recommendations to address specific regional challenges and crop requirements.
  • Demand Generation: Collaborate with growers and retail partners to showcase the advantages of Corteva's product line, enhancing product uptake and customer loyalty. Oversee the introduction of new products in alignment with marketing strategies.
  • Market Insights: Stay informed about industry developments and competitor products. Utilize this knowledge to strategically position Corteva's solutions in the marketplace.
  • Forecasting Collaboration: Assist business partners in accurately predicting product demand and formulating strategic business plans. Act as a technical liaison during client discussions and presentations.
  • Educational Initiatives: Conduct presentations at grower meetings, field days, and seminars to inform the agricultural community about product innovations, best practices, agronomic strategies, and sustainable farming methods.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and sustain robust relationships with clients, becoming a trusted advisor for expert guidance and support. Maintain regular communication with customers to gather insights for Corteva's product management team and provide timely updates.
  • Business Development: Identify new business prospects and contribute to the expansion of Corteva's market presence in the region. Regularly report on market activities, customer feedback, and field outcomes to the Crop Protection Innovation Leader and other stakeholders.
  • Respect for People: Foster respectful communication and collaboration with team members, clients, and community stakeholders. Lead by example in cultivating a positive work environment where all employees feel valued and empowered.

Qualifications

Education:

  • B.S. in Agriculture, Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
Essential Skills:
  • Extensive experience in agronomy, crop protection, and demand generation.
  • In-depth knowledge of the agricultural landscape in Eastern Canada, including specific challenges and opportunities.
  • Strong analytical capabilities to assess market data and industry trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement at all business levels and with customers.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the designated territory.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field.
  • Professional certifications related to agronomy, environmental management, or safety.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
