We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Legal Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a critical role in minimizing expenses by optimizing the utilization of external counsel, establishing an efficient internal contract management and approval system, and enhancing scalability to meet the evolving demands of expanding business units and requested timelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Legal Drafting: Review drafts, provide mark-ups, and ascertain what resources are required.
  • External Counsel Collaboration: Work with external counsel where required for additional expertise.
  • Contract Management: Participate in working groups for an internal legal contract resource platform.
  • Internal Agreement Process: Prepare internal legal agreement process and signing authority structure.
  • Reporting: Report on agreements by type, timeline, and approval process.
  • Follow-up and Communication: Report on any follow-ups, information needed by other departments for processing deliverables and renewals.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years' experience working as a Paralegal in a corporate legal department.
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and principles, and legal research methods and resources.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software applications.
  • Ethical conduct and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Paralegal certification from an accredited institution is an asset.
