Job Title: Senior Bookkeeper

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Bookkeeper to join our team at Terry-Lynne Mactavish Professional Corporation.

Job Summary:

The Senior Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, including GAAP and IFRS.
  • Payroll and Benefits Administration: Prepare and process payroll, including calculating and preparing cheques for employees.
  • Tax Preparation: Prepare and file tax returns, including corporate and personal tax returns.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
  • Skills: Proficient in accounting software, including Sage Accounting Software and MS Excel.
  • Language: English.
