Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Food Service Associate to join our team at Sawmill Prime Rib & Steak House Grande Prairie. As a key member of our dining room team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a memorable dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Service
    • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Prepare and serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Present menus and make recommendations to guests, taking into account their dietary needs and preferences.
    • Process payments and handle customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Table Management
    • Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs to maintain a clean and welcoming environment.
    • Manage table assignments and ensure that guests are seated in a timely manner.
  • Teamwork
    • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless service and a positive guest experience.
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure that all guests' needs are met.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
    • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • Will train.
  • Certifications/Licenses
    • ProServe program.
  • Physical Demands
    • Bending, crouching, kneeling.
    • Standing for extended periods.
    • Handling heavy loads.
  • Work Environment
    • Fast-paced environment.
    • Physically demanding.
    • Overtime required.
