Position Summary

We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector for Incoming Electronics to join our Satellite Systems team.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will engage in incoming inspection activities to ensure that our electronic components and products meet compliance standards as per established processes and specific program criteria. Additionally, this role may involve performing duties as a certifier, mechanical assembler, electromechanical assembler, micro-electromechanical assembler, production assistant, or general helper based on individual skills.

Level of Accountability:

The role follows structured work processes, requiring some analytical skills to select appropriate actions from established procedures.

Primary Duties:

  • Verify compliance of all procured components and associated documentation in accordance with purchase order stipulations.
  • Maintain traceability within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  • Confirm document revisions as necessary (CFC).
  • Inspect machined components per specifications and standards, performing minor rework as needed.
  • Conduct adhesion tests on coatings and validate plating documentation.
  • Execute trigonometric calculations to relate drawing specifications to the use of manual and automated measuring tools.
  • Assess sub-assemblies and completed or in-progress assemblies for adherence to standards and specifications.
  • Generate non-conformance reports, ensuring follow-up and corrective actions.
  • Test connector retention, wire tension, and continuity of cables, wires, and harnesses.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team on various tasks.
  • Assist in research and development initiatives.
  • Perform other related responsibilities as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proficient in reading technical drawings.
  • Understanding of tolerance principles and geometric dimensions.
  • Knowledgeable in quality assurance methodologies and practices.
  • Familiarity with IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620 standards as applicable.
  • Competent in data entry and retrieval using computer systems.
  • Experience with production databases.
  • Proficient in French.
  • Strong judgment skills.
  • Excellent manual dexterity.
  • Educational background: College diploma or vocational studies in electronics, mechanics, aeronautics, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience: Two (2) to five (5) years.
  • Basic knowledge of English is advantageous.

Additional Information:

Candidates must obtain and maintain security clearance at the reliability status level and pass security assessments for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
