About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Web Development Specialist to join our team at Global Media Communications. As a key member of our digital media team, you will be responsible for designing and developing engaging websites that meet our clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning
    • Collaborate with clients to understand their website requirements and develop a project plan to meet their needs.
    • Conduct research to stay up-to-date with the latest web development trends and technologies.
  • Design and Development
    • Design visually appealing and user-friendly websites that meet our clients' objectives.
    • Develop websites using a variety of programming languages, including HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
    • Test and debug websites to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Content Creation
    • Work with clients to create engaging content for their websites, including text, images, and videos.
    • Optimize website content for search engines to improve visibility and ranking.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, content, and project management.
    • Communicate effectively with clients to ensure their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
Requirements
  • Education
    • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in web development.
  • Skills
    • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
    • Excellent communication and project management skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment

As a Web Development Specialist at Global Media Communications, you will be working in a fast-paced digital media environment. You will be required to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.

Language

The primary language of work is English.

Hours of Work

The regular hours of work are 35 hours per week.
