About the Role
WB Games Montréal, a division of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment (WBIE), is seeking a seasoned Creative Director to join our team of game developers.
Your New Role
As a Creative Director, you will play a crucial role in shaping and executing the vision of a popular franchise in the AAA interactive space.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the core team of a project and inspire colleagues and stakeholders while providing direction during prototyping and production phases, fostering innovation and quality.
- Collaborate with the executive producer to represent the game to WB's senior leadership and evangelize the game internally and externally.
Project Oversight
- Direct the game in terms of project vision, in collaboration with other core team members.
- Assume full responsibility for content quality.
- Establish the game's overall vision in collaboration with the producer and key WBIE stakeholders.
Design
- Support production in designing practical features of the game, as needed.
- Coordinate content teams (internal and external) to ensure that produced work meets expectations and provide specific guidance when necessary.
Communication and Relationships
- Collaborate with internal divisions to ensure the team implements the optimal design vision balanced by research, programming, art, and production inputs.
- Establish, maintain, and improve relationships with internal and external creative resources, third-party suppliers, and development partners.
- Participate in departmental meetings to share ideas and best practices.
Requirements and Qualifications
- More than 10 years of experience in the video game industry, including 5 years in a team leadership role for AAA games and defining game design direction.
- Must have delivered at least one AAA title as a game director or creative director.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to work with internal and external teams.
- Fluency in English is required for international/US relations.
- Expertise in AAA action/adventure games of the new generation.
- Ability to effectively communicate with numerous external partners to facilitate the sharing of ideas and services.
- Familiarity with design tools and pipelines.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
