The selected candidate will serve as a vital link between partners and clients, focusing on the assessment of client files, delivering technical insights, and leading complex projects. This role involves direct reporting to partners while also providing mentorship to junior and intermediate accountants within the Senior Accounting team.
Ideal for individuals who value exceptional customer service, this position offers the chance to collaborate closely with partners to support a diverse client base, emphasizing the importance of understanding clients both personally and professionally. Success in this role will require a high degree of accountability, initiative, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic professional services environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing the preparation of financial statements for business clients, ensuring quality control through the review of Staff Accountants' work, and managing complex aspects of client files;
- Maintaining high standards of quality by supervising Compilation and Review Engagements;
- Reviewing various tax returns, including Corporate, Personal, and Trust income tax returns;
- Identifying and rectifying discrepancies in financial records and reports;
- Providing analytical recommendations regarding reserves, assets, and expenditures;
- Conducting technical research and formulating tax planning strategies for individuals and corporations;
- Assisting in the execution of corporate reorganizations;
- Coordinating and prioritizing the workload of Staff Accountants, including managing engagement costs and billing;
- Supporting the professional growth of Staff Accountants through mentorship;
- Managing a diverse client portfolio, ensuring their needs are met and fostering relationship growth;
- Contributing innovative ideas to enhance work processes.
