Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Meat Associate to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a Meat Associate, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized meat department, and assisting with the sale of goods.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Zoning the department to ensure a visually appealing and easy-to-navigate shopping experience.
  2. Rotating stock and checking for expired products to maintain high-quality merchandise.
  3. Ensuring merchandise is properly signed and priced to meet company standards.
  4. Adhering to cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates to ensure a safe and healthy shopping environment.
  5. Taking orders for Deli Department merchandise, slicing and preparing merchandise, and providing requested assistance to customers.
  6. Following proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels to maintain accurate inventory and pricing.
  7. Preparing deli food orders, meat, cheese, and utilizing slicers, stackers, and other utensils to provide high-quality products to customers.
  8. Following Health and Safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
