Job Description

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Patient Care Specialists to provide essential support to patients in various settings. As a Patient Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our clients.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Provide personalized assistance with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using appropriate equipment and techniques.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a positive and caring environment.
  • Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and hygienic living space.
  • Observe patient conditions closely and promptly report any concerns or changes to the designated supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and services provided.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a valid Personal Support Worker (PSW) certification from an accredited institution.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills in English; bilingualism is an asset.
  • Be flexible and available to work various shifts, including days, evenings, and nights.
  • Hold a current CPR certificate.
  • Have a recent (within the last year) police check for the vulnerable sector.
  • Maintain a negative TB test result from within the last year.
  • Possess a mobile device and reliable internet access.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a calm demeanor.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with technology and electronic documentation systems.
