Job Title: Diesel Mechanic Supervisor

Gaspésie Diesel Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic Supervisor to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Diesel Mechanic Supervisor will be responsible for supervising a team of heavy duty equipment mechanics, ensuring the efficient operation of our repair shop, and maintaining high-quality work standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of heavy duty equipment mechanics to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
  • Resolve work problems and provide technical advice to team members
  • Co-ordinate and schedule activities to meet work schedules and deadlines
  • Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions
  • Train or arrange for training to ensure team members have the necessary skills and knowledge
  • Prepare bids and proposals for new projects
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed in the workplace
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a supervisory role in a heavy duty equipment repair shop
  • Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
