Production Meat Specialist

This position offers full-time employment (40 hours/week), with a flexible schedule that may include daytime, evening, and weekend shifts. Part-time opportunities are also available, depending on the candidate's preferences. We welcome applications from retirees.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare, cut, and process a variety of meats
  • Season and marinate meats to enhance flavor
  • Ensure proper stocking of products in refrigeration units
  • Collaborate in the development of innovative meat products
  • Adhere to food safety regulations and workplace health standards (WHMIS)
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and tools

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completion of a DEP in retail butchery
  • Proven experience in butchery
  • Certification or training in food hygiene and safety (preferred)
  • Familiarity with various meat cuts and preparation techniques
