Men's Mental Health Support Group Facilitator

We are seeking a dedicated individual to facilitate our Men's in-person peer support group at Volunteer Manitoba. As a facilitator, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and supportive environment for men to share their experiences and connect with others who have faced similar challenges.

About the Role:

  • Plan, guide, and manage an in-person peer support group for men living with mental health illnesses.
  • Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive group dynamic.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to group members.

Requirements:

  • English language proficiency.
  • Lived or working experience with mental health.
  • Knowledge of peer support or mental wellness (asset training will be provided).

Volunteer Details:

  • Volunteer shift: Every Thursday from 5:30pm-6:30pm.
  • Location: Downtown.
  • Bus tickets and training/orientation provided.
