About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and physically fit Farmhand to join our team at McNary Feed Lot Ltd. As a Farmhand, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to farm operations, animal care, and equipment maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Animal Care: Monitor animal health, perform livestock feeding, and ensure the overall well-being of the animals.
  • Farm Operations: Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens, and other work areas, and perform general farm duties.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, including feeding and watering systems, tractors, and forklifts.
  • Quality Control: Examine products for quality and readiness for the market.
Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle heavy loads, and stand for extended periods.
  • Equipment Experience: Familiarity with feeding and watering systems, tractors, farm trucks, and forklifts.
  • Automated Systems: Experience with bulk grain or feed handling, automated environmental control equipment, and manure handling and storage.
  • Personal Qualities: Organized, team player, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, judgment, and reliability.
