HSE Supervisor

The HSE Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental well-being of our employees, clients, and the general public. Reporting to the Regional HSE Manager, this position provides direction to the HSE Senior Coordinator and HSE Coordinator, acting as a key support in regions where a Regional Safety Manager is not required.
Key Responsibilities- Support Project Managers, Superintendents, and HSE Regional Managers in ensuring the effective implementation of the HSE Management System (MS).
- Ensure all project incidents are accurately documented and uploaded into Graham's Incident Management software.
- Assist Project Managers and project teams in facilitating and completing GRAs (General Risk Assessments).
- Compile and summarize HSE statistical data, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions.
- Assess site-specific requirements and review Project Safety and Security Plans (PSSPs).
- Contribute expertise to investigations of all project incidents.
- Report on the effectiveness of the HSE MS to the Regional HSE Manager.
- Accompany local government HSE inspectors and project Superintendents for inspections, ensuring compliance with legislation.
- Ensure all required HSE reports and meeting minutes are filed, with copies sent to relevant personnel for review and corrective action.
- High school graduation and completion of a diploma training program at a college or technical school.
- Certification in Health and Safety, or a safety designation, is an asset.
- 5+ years of experience in safety or a related field.
- Strong understanding of provincial/state regulations and WCB processes.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and online reporting software.
