Job Title: Pharmacist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pharmacist to join our team at Ross and Acker Inc.

About the Role

This is a permanent position with a flexible schedule of 24 to 40 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background and relevant experience in the field of pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise customers on the safe use of medications, including indications, contraindications, and potential side effects.
  • Dispense prescribed medications to customers or healthcare professionals, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Manage and maintain stock of pharmaceutical supplies, including ordering and inventory control.
  • Provide guidance on the selection and use of non-prescription medications.
  • Verify prescriptions for proper dosage and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Compound prescribed medications by accurately measuring and mixing ingredients.
  • Maintain accurate medication profiles, including records of poisons, narcotics, and controlled substances.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of pharmacy staff, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
Requirements
  • Certification in drug administration by injection and intranasal route.
  • Pharmacy Examining Boards of Canada Certification.
  • Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
  • Criminal record check and eligibility for professional liability insurance.
