Job Title: Bookkeeping Clerk

M. T. DISTRIBUTORS LTD. is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeping Clerk to join our team. As a Bookkeeping Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and performing various accounting tasks.

Responsibilities:
  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
  • Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
  • Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
  • Post journal entries
  • Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
  • Prepare tax returns
  • Prepare trial balance of books
  • Reconcile accounts
Requirements:
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
  • Language: English
  • Work hours: 35 hours per week
Working Conditions:

This is a permanent position with a 35-hour workweek. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and organizational skills.
