Job Summary
The City of Ottawa's Wastewater Linear Collection team is seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join their team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing, monitoring, and optimizing various processes required for wastewater linear system operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement process improvements to enhance wastewater treatment and collection efficiency
- Monitor and optimize process performance to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure optimal system performance
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide technical expertise and advice on wastewater treatment and collection operations
- Prepare and present reports to stakeholders on process performance and system optimization
Requirements
- Completion of a 4-year university degree in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a process-related environment, preferably in a wastewater system environment
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO)
- Ontario MOE Class 4 Operator Certificate in the applicable process area
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of biological, physical, chemical, and other processes used in wastewater treatment and collection operations
- Experience with statistical process control techniques and computerized process control
- Knowledge of quality management systems and risk assessment methodologies
