We are seeking a Systems Communications Payload AIT Engineer to join our Satellite Systems team. Our organization is the leading independent commercial provider of antennas, payloads, and electronics for communication and radar satellites, contributing to numerous successful missions over the past six decades.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Systems Communications Payload AIT Engineer will play a crucial role in:
- Designing RF and Electrical system AIT, including performance analysis and defining Test Plans & Test Methods.
- Defining and documenting engineering processes such as Test Plans, system test requirements, and verification matrices.
- Participating in cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive project execution.
- Producing necessary documentation for EGSE (Electrical Ground Support Equipment).
- Overseeing payload assembly, integration, and testing processes.
- Attending and contributing to test reviews including TRR, TRB, DRB, and NCRs.
- Supporting payload testing, including EGSE, test supervision, and data analysis.
- Assisting with satellite tests at supplier locations and supporting In-Orbit Tests (IOT).
- Creating the Payload Operations Manual.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- An engineering degree in a relevant field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in AIT and testing of electronic systems and communications payloads.
- Familiarity with Direct Radiating Array (DRA) Antennas and knowledge of digital modulations, signal processing, and networking.
- Proficiency in English; fluency in French is advantageous.
- Extensive experience with laboratory instruments such as performance network analyzers, high sampling oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, arbitrary waveform generators, and modems.
- A solid understanding of Digital Signal Processing theory.
- Experience with programming languages including MATLAB and Python.
- Knowledge of communication protocols such as CANbus, SpaceWire, and SPI serial link.
- Strong personal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Successful candidates must obtain and maintain security clearance at the reliability status level and pass security assessments for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
