We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Device Technician to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our Sterile Supply Processing department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient processing of medical devices and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Receive, sort, and process medical devices and equipment according to established procedures
- Operate departmental equipment such as automated washers, cart washer, pasteurizer, ultrasonic washer, clean dryer, heat sealer, and sterilizers
- Perform routine maintenance of departmental equipment and work areas
- Participate in the Department's Quality Assurance Program
- Perform clerical duties such as recording workload statistics, answering the telephone, and maintaining records
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Grade 12, plus successful completion of a recognized Sterile Supply Processing program
- One year's recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to deal effectively with others
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position
