Job Title: Early Childhood Educator Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team at Learning Tree Academy. As an Early Childhood Educator Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our childcare center and contributing to the development of our young learners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing engaging activities and programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Support the daily care and supervision of children, including bathing, diapering, and feeding infants and toddlers.
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children, and contribute to the development of individualized learning plans.
  • Assist with housekeeping and cooking duties, and prepare snacks and meals for children.
  • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, singing, and crafts, and promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a childcare setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and staff.
  • Physical stamina to lift children and participate in activities.
