Job Title: Convenience Store Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Convenience Store Manager to join our team at J&P Variety #2. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for leading our store operations, managing staff, and driving sales growth.

Job Summary:
  • Lead and manage daily store operations, ensuring a high level of customer service and sales performance.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a team of sales associates to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
  • Manage store inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking merchandise.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to drive sales growth and increase customer engagement.
  • Monitor and control store expenses, including labor, inventory, and overhead costs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
  • Direct and control daily store operations, including sales, customer service, and inventory management.
  • Evaluate store performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Plan and organize store events, promotions, and marketing activities to engage customers and drive sales.
  • Manage store staff, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Monitor and control store expenses, including labor, inventory, and overhead costs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of retail management experience, preferably in a convenience store or similar environment.
  • Proven track record of sales growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education an asset.
