About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at Cora Breakfast and Lunch. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and ensure that all food is handled and cooked safely.
  • Team Leadership: Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they are clean and well-maintained, and take responsibility for cleaning kitchen and work areas.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
  • Work Setting: Restaurant
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure
