Position Overview:

This role is designed for a Bilingual Human Resources Coordinator who will deliver organizational support for the national service and HR functions concerning both annual and hourly employees across Canada. The responsibilities encompass aiding in employee onboarding, orientation, and collaborating with the HR team on various organizational HR initiatives. Additional duties include generating reports, conducting data analysis, maintaining filing systems, and providing daily HR assistance as required. The individual will also play a pivotal role in fostering employee engagement through social committee leadership.

  • Oversee the post-hiring and onboarding processes for new employees;
  • Assist the HR team across multiple organizations with both unionized and non-unionized personnel in Canada and the U.S.;
  • Manage personnel management systems by documenting new hires, transfers, terminations, job classification adjustments, and merit increases;
  • Adopt a customer-centric approach to address employee inquiries;
  • Engage in project teams to clarify objectives and goals;
  • Conduct monthly audits of HR data systems related to personnel management and payroll software;
  • Support daily operations within the HR office;
  • Process monthly payments to various vendors and manage national HR invoices and vendor check requests;
  • Facilitate digital HR processes through file and process digitization initiatives;
  • Participate in and assist with company events, including social committee activities;
  • Administer vacation tracking systems;
  • Coordinate various local programs and other organizational initiatives;
  • Compile year-end training reports and CSR documentation;
  • Create employment and entry letters for Canadian and U.S. employees;
  • Assist with Quebec pension plans and support retirees for both hourly and annual employee groups;
  • Uphold confidentiality regarding organizational information;
  • Enhance professional knowledge by attending training sessions, reading industry publications, maintaining professional networks, and engaging in professional organizations;
  • Improve service quality and organizational reputation by embracing new responsibilities and exploring opportunities to add value to job outcomes.
