About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Development and Marketing to join our team at ROME GROUP. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising and marketing strategy to drive growth and awareness for our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement annual and long-term development and marketing plans, aligning with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Provide professional leadership to the Board of Directors, Development Committee, and development/marketing staff to develop and implement strategies for acquiring philanthropic resources.
  • Donor Relations: Maintain accurate and confidential donor and prospect records, identifying prospective donors and building relationships to secure funding.
  • Event Planning: Plan and produce special events to achieve income and community awareness objectives, in partnership with the CEO and Board of Directors.
  • Marketing and Communications: Develop and execute a strategic and integrated marketing and communications plan to build brand positioning and familiarity, including internal and external communications, spokesperson training, website content, electronic media, and print collateral.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of government regulations and trends in philanthropy, ensuring the highest level of ethical and professional standards in the management of philanthropic resources.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare monthly and yearly reports and analysis for the CEO, Development Committee, and Board of Directors, actively contributing to the development of the organization's annual budget.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in a relevant area of study.
  • Experience: Minimum of five years of experience in directing successful development and marketing programs, with a measurable track record in building year-over-year revenues.
  • Skills: Exceptional analytical, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple and concurrent projects.
