About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Mama Mia Italian Kitchen. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our kitchen and front-of-house areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of our kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure excellent customer service and high-quality food preparation.
    • Train and develop staff in their job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Operations Management
    • Estimate and manage inventory of ingredients and supplies to ensure efficient meal preparation and minimize waste.
    • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions.
  • Quality Control
    • Ensure that all food and service meet our high quality control standards, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Work Environment
    • Work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities to meet deadlines.
    • Combine sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day, with occasional lifting and bending.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Excellent oral communication skills to effectively interact with staff and customers.
    • Client-focused and able to work as part of a team.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position with 35 to 40 hours of work per week. The work language is English.
