About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Personal Insurance Advisor to join our team in Carstairs, AB. As a key member of our Personal Insurance team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance to clients, identifying their insurance needs, and developing tailored solutions to meet those needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service ongoing client needs, advise on insurance matters, and conduct needs assessments
  • Sell new policies and retain existing business
  • Quote new business through outbound calls, introductory letters, and walk-in clients
  • Contact underwriters and adjusters to discuss guidelines and policy
  • Prepare documentation for insurers, complete applications for clients, and issue insurance certificates
  • Stay up-to-date on underwriting rules and workflow processes
  • Participate in training initiatives and community marketing efforts
Requirements
  • High school and/or post-secondary education
  • Minimum 2-5 years sales experience (previous insurance sales experience preferred)
  • Level 1 General license or willingness to obtain
  • Exposure to Epic is an asset
  • Strong customer focus, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and credit check
