Auto Parts Delivery Driver Position

We are seeking a skilled Transportation Specialist to join our team at Auto Parts Authority. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for transporting goods to customers in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and drive company vehicles to transport goods to customers
  • Load vehicles with product in an organized manner to minimize damage and speed up deliveries
  • Lift and move product up to 75 lbs.
  • Drive company vehicles following all road rules and speed limits, and in a courteous manner as a representative of Auto Parts Authority
  • Ensure safe driving practices, including having headlights on in inclement weather
  • Clean and make minor repairs to vehicles to maintain service levels
  • Provide feedback to management regarding customer problems, mechanical problems, or delivery issues
  • Communicate with Store Manager and Driver Supervisor and other drivers to receive information and updates
  • Check all load-related documentation to ensure it is complete and accurate
  • Ensure that all C.O.D orders are paid on delivery
  • Perform morning inspection on vehicle to ensure safety and roadworthiness
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving abstract
  • Knowledge of Edmonton and surrounding areas is an asset
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Team support and high level of integrity and work ethic

Salary starts at $17.00 per hour, with benefits available after 3 months. This is a full-time position with a shift of Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and every other Saturday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. There is potential for advancement to the parts counter if interested.
