Located in Grande Prairie, our team serves clients in their own homes, Lodges, Designated Supportive Living Spaces, Seniors Apartments, and Long Term Care. As a Therapy Assistant, you will work closely with Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists to support their care plans and treatment recommendations.

About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where you will contribute to effective and efficient rehabilitation services. You will work with clients of all ages, providing direct and indirect care across the healthcare continuum. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to work effectively with internal and external partners, and display professionalism and strong ethics in client-centered care and participation in care teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans in collaboration with the Interdisciplinary team
  • Provide direct and indirect client care, including support with daily living activities and rehabilitation exercises
  • Work effectively with Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists to support their care plans and treatment recommendations
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new programs and services

Requirements:

  • Completion of a diploma from an accredited post-secondary rehabilitation Therapy Assistant program or equivalent training
  • Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy Assistant Diploma
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer skills, including MS Office and electronic charting
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
