Position Overview:

This role is a contract opportunity within the medical imaging field, focusing on providing essential diagnostic services.

COMPENSATION:

  • Hourly wage begins at $41.83, with potential additional compensation of up to 22% in lieu of benefits and vacation.
  • Previous clinical experience may contribute to salary progression.
  • Eligibility to participate in the HOOPP pension plan along with health and dental benefits.
  • All standby call-ins are compensated at double time for a minimum of four hours.
  • Relocation assistance and temporary housing options are available.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be registered or eligible for registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario.
  • Ability to fulfill the physical demands of the role as outlined in the physical demands analysis in accordance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
  • Must maintain good standing with the CMRITO and uphold active registry status by acquiring the necessary Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver diagnostic services as specified in the job description.
  • Ensure patient care aligns with the standards set by the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario, including adherence to the Code of Ethics and departmental policies.
  • Engage in professional development activities, whether assigned or voluntary, to enhance knowledge and skills relevant to evolving patient care requirements.
  • Participate in standby and on-call rotations during evenings and weekends, ensuring continuous service availability. Short notice coverage may occasionally be necessary.
