About the Role

Vahagn's Your Independent Grocer is seeking a skilled Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating a cash register, and processing transactions with accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a cash register and process transactions with accuracy and efficiency
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional manner
  • Scan items and calculate total payment for goods or services
  • Receive payment for goods or services, handling cash, cheques, and credit/debit card payments
  • Reconcile daily/shift payments received with total sales
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Experience: Experience an asset, but not required
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
