The South Shore Regional Hospital (SSRH) is actively looking for dedicated full-time and locum physicians to enhance our Hospitalist program. This program is designed to provide an excellent work-life balance with a schedule of 7 days on and 7 days off. Physicians will care for a diverse patient population with varying levels of acuity, all within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Effectively manage a balanced workload and clinical practice
- Facilitate community-based care alongside secondary and tertiary healthcare services
- Comply with the standards set by the Nova Scotia Health Authority
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance evaluations
Compensation is structured on a daily basis, with additional remuneration for on-call responsibilities. Physicians will also receive fee-for-service payments for after-hours consultations, with sessional rates applicable for callback services.
Required Qualifications:- Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- Current coverage with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) or an equivalent
- Certification in ACLS and BCLS is mandatory
