Job Title: Engineering Technologist-HVAC

At United Connect, we're seeking an experienced Engineering Technologist to join our team in designing and optimizing manufacturing processes. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll be responsible for creating precise 3D CAD models and CNC files to guide the production of quality products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design & Documentation: Develop CAD drawings and CNC files to support manufacturing needs.
  • Process Improvement: Identify ways to enhance efficiency and quality in existing manufacturing processes, and help implement new standards.
  • Prototyping & Testing: Work with the team to develop and test new and existing products, ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Materials Sourcing: Assist with sourcing and selecting materials that meet engineering and production requirements.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with departments like Production and Purchasing to resolve any design, material, or production issues.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure all processes comply with health and safety regulations while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Engineering Technologist Certificate/Diploma with a focus on digital technology or manufacturing.
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing production environment (preferred).
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Strong background in mechanical design and drawing.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
  • Familiarity with ERP software and the ability to assist in its management is a plus.
