The Chefs' Warehouse is seeking a dependable and experienced Delivery Specialist to join our dedicated delivery team. Physical strength, stamina, and a clean driving record are essential for this role. Delivery Specialists must be organized, efficient, and professional at all times while ensuring accurate and timely deliveries.
What You'll Do- Verify inventory stock aligns with delivery requirements.
- Adhere to established routes for daily deliveries.
- Utilize maps or GPS systems to determine and track daily routes.
- Ensure timely product delivery to clients.
- Load and organize products from the warehouse into your vehicle and unload them as needed throughout the day.
- Confirm that inventory matches the accompanying shipping documents (manifests).
- Record or scan confirmation of delivery upon arrival at the recipient's location.
- Collect signatures and/or payments at delivery destinations.
- Deliver goods to specific locations designated by clients.
- Communicate delivery progress with the warehouse as required.
- Maintain and organize all delivery paperwork, submitting it to the appropriate personnel at the end of each shift.
- Report any accidents or vehicle issues encountered during deliveries to supervisors.
- Strictly adhere to traffic rules and regulations.
- Comply with all company and state-enforced safety protocols for loading and unloading products.
- Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent certification.
- Hold a valid driver's license.
- Maintain a clean driving record with no moving violations.
- Successfully pass a DOT physical examination.
- Demonstrate proficiency in driving and parking large vehicles.
- Exhibit physical fitness and strength, capable of comfortably lifting 25 pounds.
- Experience operating hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts is advantageous.
- Present a professional and courteous demeanor, providing all clients with a positive customer service experience.
- Be dependable, hardworking, and an effective communicator.
- Possess excellent time-management and organizational skills.
