Comfort Keepers Kelowna is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing care to clients in their homes, promoting independence and dignity.
Key Responsibilities- Client Care: Provide nursing services, within defined scope of practice, to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures.
- Health Education: Provide safety and health education to individuals and their families, promoting healthy living and disease prevention.
- Medication Management: Observe and record medication's therapeutic and side effects, ensuring clients receive safe and effective care.
- Vital Signs: Take vital signs, monitoring clients' health status and reporting any changes to the care team.
- Infection Control: Ensure infection control practices are followed, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for clients.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of client care, including progress notes and medication administration records.
- Education: Completion of a Practical Nursing program and licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a home care or visiting care setting.
- Certifications: Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work and completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination.
As a Licensed Practical Nurse with Comfort Keepers Kelowna, you will work in a fast-paced environment, providing care to clients in their homes. You will be part of a dynamic team of healthcare professionals, working together to provide high-quality care and support to our clients.
