The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Director, Partner Relations to drive strategic growth and development in the Canadian market for ApplyBoard.

In this role, you will lead a team of Partner Relations Managers, optimizing and expanding our partnerships with institutions across Canada, government offices, and other relevant organizations. You will report to the Senior Director, Partner Relations, and collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement initiatives that support students and our institution partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for Canadian market growth, aligning with ApplyBoard's goal alignment methodology.
  • Attract, develop, and retain a high-performing team of Partner Relations Managers in Canada.
  • Collaborate with the Partner Relations Team to advise on customer experience initiatives, prioritization, and design, and measure outcomes.
  • Expand partnerships and market share within Canada, both in terms of the number of partners and collaboration with existing partners.
  • Develop creative solutions to challenges and issues both internally and externally.
  • Act as a subject matter expert to support institutions with internalization strategies and strategic enrollment planning.
  • Elevate ApplyBoard's brand and reputation in Canada as a leader in the space.
  • Lead the introduction and sales efforts of new products and services, including SAAS-based and other technology-based solutions.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of post-degree experience.
  • 7+ years of progressive management/leadership experience in international education.
  • 5+ years of team management experience, especially in developing high-performance teams.
  • 2+ years of experience in reviewing and negotiating contracts.
  • Demonstrated leadership, effective ability to interact with others, and deal with ambiguous situations.
  • Proven experience in excellent customer service to both internal stakeholders and external clients.
  • Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Flexibility in adapting to change and the ability to succeed in a complex start-up environment with remote supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to use data and make business decisions using data.
  • Deliver strong presentations and proven business development skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong cooperative internal and external relationships.
